Day4 Audience and Purpose


We will be able to:
  • Explain the distinction and yet important relationship between audience and purpose within the communication model 
  • Generate and compare possible combinations of audiences and purposes for a variety of writing genres, samples, or prompts 
  • Identify explicit and implicit audience and purpose markers in written discourse (e.g. content, vocabulary, and structure) and how these collectively impact tone.
  • Self-evaluate effective audience and purpose markers in their introductory paragraph and strategize revision based on new knowledge from lesson

4. Email Etiquette

Homework
1. Read the email etiquette. Pretend that you do not know when the homework is due.
Write me an e-mail to eunicenam84@gmail.com asking for extension of the due date.
Please use "academic tone" when you are writing e-mail. 
2. Write a reflection essay.
